About Rustam Musevi

History, culture, and the stories connecting generations

Born and raised in Baku, Azerbaijan, Rustam witnessed the final years of the Soviet Union and the country’s emergence as an independent nation. Those experiences shaped a lifelong interest in history, culture, identity, and the stories that connect people across generations.

After immigrating to the United States, he earned degrees in dental science, business, and education, served in the U.S. Army, and built a career spanning healthcare, education, and publishing. He currently lives in Minnesota.

As the founder of Hazar Global Press, Rustam writes books that combine historical research, cultural exploration, and engaging storytelling. His work is guided by a simple philosophy: history should be understandable, culture should be approachable, and every place has stories worth preserving.

Rustam speaks multiple languages and enjoys international travel, historical research, photography, and documentary filmmaking. Through his books, videos, and public speaking, he hopes to build greater understanding of Azerbaijan and the South Caucasus while encouraging readers to explore the world with curiosity and an open mind.
